One Direction

Okay, I don't really care what comes with this blog post because I need to get it off my chest.

YES, I have fallen into the One Direction fandom, better known as a Directioner. I pretty much started liking them overnight and it started with "Little Things" and then "Best Song Ever", I am fairly new to this obsessive  interest. But I think I have also fallen head over heels in love with that damn Harry Styles, guys. Plus, his voice? Seriously it has to be against the law somewhere that you cannot look that damn good and have such a freaking amazing voice like that. And not to mention the way he is with his fans, and his other band mates. He is such a great person to look up to. These guys have managed to keep their feet on the ground and keep their heads screwed on straight- which not many (if any) celebrities can say. These guys are so down to earth and normal that it amazes me, I cannot believe how grounded and stable they are. They make sure their public image is something that not only their fans can be proud of, but that they can be proud of as well. I cannot express my love for them enough... okay fangirling done! haha thanks for sticking around for this post!

Nail Polish- Essie's "Naughty Nautical"

I have a collection of nail polishes, as do most women. I have never really found a color I can honestly say is my favorite nail polish. I do have a "go-to" color- red (maybe because its my favorite color!) but not one I love and believe to be my favorite. That was until I found Essie's Naughty Nautical nail polish- part of their Summer 2013 Collection. And this nail polish is stunning.
The color is hard to pinpoint, obviously it's in the green family. I would guess sea foam green's darker cousin. But the color is intense and the color pay off is amazing. I apply two coats and then add a top coat.
I've always been a fan of Essie, the brand is my favorite nail polish manufacturer.  I will say, without being careful (especially without a base and/or top coat) this polish can chip within the first five or so days. So, I do stay on top of the maintenance. But it is so worth it. This is great for the summer and looks amazing with a tanner completion! Another concern for most is the price- $7.99 which is a bit pricey for a nail polish, but I would say it's well worth it! If you haven't already tried Essie- try it out now!
Enjoy!(:

Can't We All Just Get Along?!

So my issue today is, why are people so two-faced? Why do we ALL say one thing and then do something completely different? For example, if you are letting someone outside of your normal "click" hang out with you, a lot; then why do you feel the need to trash talk them every chance you get? You're the one asking them to come over and hang out. If there is really something that bothers you about that person then why are you talking to them, much less asking them to hang out? I just don't understand it. If you feel there is a problem, or something needs to be cleared up, WHY CAN'T you just ask them and talk to them about it. Fine, if you don't want to hang out with that person- THEN DON'T. Yes, that means not asking them to hang out anymore. It's really not that hard. And if you're the only want that wants to hang out with them, and are just trash talking because all of your other friends are doing, then you're even lower.

We all have our flaws a differences, and for someone to call them out and point them out every time that person is around is just plain wrong. There is no reason for you to say anything negative. If you don't have anything nice to say then do not say it at all. The fact that people do this on a daily basis is pathetic. You're not impressing anyone, or making yourself look good. All you're doing is showing how low of a person you can truly be. And then you are wondering why this person never wants to hang out or talk to you anymore. Gee- beats me. I understand that there are just some people you will not be able to get along with, however that does not give you the right to belittle them and tear them down. They are still struggling to find their place in the world- just like you are. It just irritates me how little people show compassion to one another. Not any one of us has the right to judge another person based on his or her appearance or how he or she acts, we are we are.

We are different for a reason, and to take that away from someone is wrong, and stupid. I can never forgive anyone that is as two-faced as that. Ever. Before you open your mouth to bad mouth someone else- take a minute and think about if the role was reversed. How would you feel? The saying "Treat others how you want to be treated" is TRUE! It's really not that hard. You're gonna find your friend base dwindling because your friends are not going to be able to trust that you're not saying anything about them behind their back. So why can't you just be NICE! Once of life's unanswered questions.

So, the point of today's blog is to be happy and be nice to those around you, because trust me, you never know what they are dealing with and what they are going through at any given point in time. So everyone just love everybody and get over yourselves :D And remember, you are not an expert one anyone's life but your own, so do not say anything you might regret later.

Revlon 24 Hours ColorStay Foundation

Just like anyone else, I've been trying to find a foundation that I could fall in love with- texture, coverage and price. I think I found just that!! I recently went into Target, and was on a mission for some good foundation. I have heard ALL over the make up world about the Colorstay line from Revlon. I had purchased the foundation around x-mas time. However I got the wrong shade and had a poor brush with which to apply it. So I wrote it off. But I felt compelled to re-purchase. So I did, finally finding my perfect shade. I am in 200 Nude (for combination/oily skin)
This time I was going to give the product a shot! I applied it with a beauty blender. And I was amazed! It's perfect. It went on smooth and creamy and the coverage is perfect for me. I was able to blend it into a full coverage foundation. I will say, a little goes a long way, and if you don't blend it completely- you do create the "cake face" affect. So blend! But I was amazed. I still used my concealer on little spots here and there, but I used less than half of what I was using.
And I could have actually skipped the concealer ( save for my under eyes) and to set the foundation, I just applied Revlon's Nearly Naked powder (which is my ultimate favorite powder, ever)
I was truly impressed with this foundation. And I am glad I gave it another go. So worth it! If you haven't already give this foundation a chance, $9.99 the concealer is a little pricey- $15.99 however I swear by this stuff! And the powder (I haven't come across it in awhile) runs just $5.99
